Ventura Homeless Prevention is a local 501(c)3 nonprofit that does exactly what it says. Every penny donated goes directly to pay rent for households who have been stably housed but are suddenly unable to meet the current month’s rent because of a one-time event like a car repair, medical bill, or loss of pay due to illness or temporary lay off.
They’re hosting a Champagne Brunch and auction to raise rental assistance funds on Saturday, Feb 11, 11am at the Unitarian Universalist Church at 5654 Ralston.
There will be testimonials, a wine pull, an online and in-person auction with great items (including a diamond necklace and gift card donated by Fox Fine Jewelry valued at $800). And much more!
